The terminal, operated by PSP Terminal, has so far handled bulk goods and steel structures. This move adds container handling to the existing portfolio.

Waberer’s Group has initiated container traffic at the PSP Terminal in Szeged, Hungary.  The facility is one of three rail terminals in Hungary currently operated by Waberer’s, alongside sites in Debrecen and Sopron. These locations are part of the company’s intermodal network serving rail-based logistics.

PSP Terminal's entry into container services comes after it began operations in spring 2024. The terminal’s development is intended to support rail freight flows and accommodate broader cargo requirements.

The company did not provide detailed data on capacity or expected volumes. However, the start of container operations suggests a move toward multimodal logistics options in the southern part of the country. Waberer’s has positioned its intermodal terminals as links in the rail-road transport chain across Hungary.

In 2023, Waberer's acquired 51% shares in Petrolsped, a mother company to PSP Cargo Romania, thus also in PSP Terminal Kft.
