Nexrail announced an agreement to lease two Stage V Vossloh Rolling Stock DE18 locomotives to a German operator, Rail Bavaria Logistik. The contract will be valid for five years.
This locomotives leasing company offers pan-European, full-service leasing. Its fleet currently consists of approximately 50 three- and four-axle, centre-cab diesel and hybrid locomotives, with clients in several European countries.
In February 2023, the leasing company announced the purchase of 40 Stage V DE18 locomotives, which the company expects to be fully contracted before the summer.
In addition to this order, Nexrail has confirmed an order for 30 SmartHybrid DE18 locomotives with homologation in France, Belgium, Luxemburg and Germany (as of 2025).
Once all locomotives are delivered, the Nexrail fleet will reach 130 locomotives, of which 100 will be DE18s.
